Edmonton based artist, Natasha Lawyer, graduated from the University of Alberta in 2007 with a Bachelor's degree in art education. Since her graduation, she has divided her time between working in her studio, substitute teaching, and drinking chai-lattes.

Her mixed media works are a playful combination of illustration, painting, texture, patterns and found objects. Inspirations include: trees, typewriters, patterned fabric & paper, old gardening books, one line poetry, birds and other pretty things.

While many of her ideas are the result of countless hours of sketchbook doodles, some of Natasha’s best ideas come to her just as she’s falling asleep, when she’s driving, or while she is teaching elementary school kids.
